Hope & Glory is about gun control. The newspaper transfers are taken from articles covering another shcool shooting in 2018 and editorials debating gun control in the US. The image of the columbine wildflower - not only references Columbine High School in Colorado - when pictured in threes symbolizes faith, hope and love. White flowers traditionally represent innocence and healing and are most often the color of choice for funeral arrangements.
